Data we collect

The app stores the shop domain, Shopify installation session data, product IDs, product titles, descriptions, vendors, product types, product images, SEO fields, audit scores, generated drafts, brand voice settings, subscription plan state, and AI credit usage records.

Shopify may provide merchant account details such as name, email, locale, and collaborator status as part of the app session. These values are used only to keep the app installed and authenticated.

Data we do not collect

MerchMind AI does not request customer records, orders, payment information, shipping addresses, billing addresses, phone numbers, or customer marketing data. The app scopes are limited to reading and writing product data.

How data is used

Product and brand information is used to audit listing quality, generate optimization drafts, apply merchant-approved updates to products, enforce plan limits, provide billing status, and support troubleshooting.

Product and brand content may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate optimization suggestions. Customer data is not sent because the app does not request or store customer data.

Retention and deletion

Store-specific app data is deleted when the app is uninstalled or when Shopify sends a shop redaction webhook. Customer data request and customer redaction webhooks are acknowledged as no-ops because this app does not store customer records.
